Probably from the 19th century, the fountain was placed at the intersection of the three roads that converge in the centre of Piazza Municipio.

In existence since the 15th century, the large fountain we see today is from the 18th century. Designed to serve as a backdrop to the road which leads down to the collegiate church of S.
